Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking an Optometrist to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. The clinician will provide independent, patient-centered eye care and collaborate with general and specialty ophthalmologists.

You will educate patients on wellness and treatment plans, plan learning opportunities for staff and residents, and handle dry eye, corneal disease, and urgent cases. This is a full-time position with regular weekday hours.

Qualifications

  • OD degree required.
  • Completion of a residency in optometry is preferred.

Work Schedule:

Schedule will be the same each week. Hours will fall between Monday- Friday, business hours.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree from an accredited Optometry School Required
  • Completion of a one-year residency in post-optometry school study Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years post graduate clinical experience OR completion of a residency program Required
  • 7 years of relevant clinical experience Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • State of Wisconsin Optometry Licensure Upon Hire Required
  • CPR certification Upon Hire Required
