Job summary

The MedServ Group is a rapidly growing medical practice that provides residents in Skilled Nursing Facilities with top-of-the-line care. We are currently searching for a talented Optometrist to join our team, delivering high-quality eye care to elderly patients.

This part-time position offers compensation of $40.00-$45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections, with typical schedules Monday–Friday and 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.

Qualifications

• OD degree and active state license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-service orientation with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.

Optometrist Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye exams.
• Diagnosing and assisting in the treatment of ocular disease.
• Prescribing corrective lenses or eye medications as needed.
• Providing pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients.

Optometrist Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree and active state license.
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics.
• Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.

General Information

• 7-8 hours visiting patients plus paperwork.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday (typically 9:00AM-5:00PM). Flexible schedules also available.
• 22-25 patients per visit, preventative care
• Part Time Compensation: $40.00 -$45.00 per patient or 35%-40% of collections ($1050-$1250 per visit).
