A leading ophthalmic practice in Kentucky seeks a full-time Optometrist to perform detailed eye exams, manage patient care, and prescribe visual aids. The ideal candidate should exhibit strong communication and surgical skills while committing to exceptional patient care. Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and manage conditions.
• Prescribe visual aids and supervise retail aspects.

• Counsel patients on eye health, contact lens care, lighting, and visual hygiene.
• Collaborate with the team and refer to MD for surgery as needed.
• Supervise retail vision care product sales and related activities.

Overview

Optometrist — 338 Alexander Spring Rd, Carlisle, PA 17015, USA • Full-Time

About the Job

• Comprehensive eye exams: Perform detailed eye exams to identify, diagnose, and manage conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.
• Proficient in refracting
• Prescriptions: Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
• Patient care: Provide pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgery
• Counseling: Counsel patients on eye and general health, including contact lens care, visual hygiene, and lighting arrangements
• Collaborate with our team to provide comprehensive patient care. Refer patients to MD for any needed surgery as well as other healthcare providers as needed
• Retail: Supervise the retail aspects of vision care products, including selling eye-care products

Total compensation may vary based on additional services, including call coverage, performance bonus, etc. Compensation may also vary based on productivity after initial guarantee period.

This opportunity requires services Monday – Friday (no evenings or weekends, unless you are covering call) in an office setting.
