Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors with pre-exam testing and to help deliver a world-class Total Patient Experience. You will handle testing devices and assist in preparing patients for exams.

The role requires interaction with patients, adherence to HIPAA, and flexibility to meet business needs including possible weekend shifts. Office software proficiency is essential for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent education/experience.
• Favorable result on a background check as required by state.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute the Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency, valuing patients' time and the doctor's schedule.
• Operate screening and testing equipment as directed (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, etc.).
• Perform routine cleaning of examination equipment and maintain orderly work areas.
• Interact professionally with all levels of staff and support a team environment.
• Support scheduling and general office duties as assigned.
