Job summary

Eyeglass World seeks an Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant to join our team in our retail optical setting. You will support doctors, perform pretest tasks, and help ensure a smooth patient flow with professional care and a fashion-forward approach.

Qualifications

• Retail/optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to learn optical terminology and concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care in a retail optical setting.
• Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of the doctor’s office and pretest room.
• Explain types of preliminary examinations to patients.
• Complete paperwork and perform testing prior to doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records and assist with referrals.
• Order and maintain supplies and pharmaceuticals as directed.
• Follow store and corporate policies and participate in regular meetings.
