The optometric technician plays a key role in maintaining efficient patient flow, assisting the optometrist by conducting pre-screenings and testing prior to examinations. No optical experience or certification is required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring high-quality patient care
• Maintaining a professional environment and appearance
• Understanding ocular terminology and diseases
• Explaining preliminary examinations to patients
• Completing paperwork and performing tests before doctor examinations
• Promoting visual field and retinal screenings
• Reviewing prescriptions and patient information
• Maintaining equipment
