Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support ophthalmic exams by performing initial testing and preparing patients for the optometrist. This role emphasizes delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience and using optical equipment efficiently.

The position requires at least 1 year in customer-facing roles within medical or ophthalmic settings, and proficiency with standard office software. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient's time, as well as the doctor's time and schedule.
• Operate optical testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT).
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.).
• Clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip.
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff at all times.
• General office duties and cleaning as assigned by manager.
• Create a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused work environment.
• Commit to working hours that meet business needs, including weekends or extended schedules.
