Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in optometric or eye care preferred.
• Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and pre-testing procedures.

• Experience with EHR or practice management software is a plus.

• Assist the optometrist during comprehensive eye exams and patient consultations.
• Collect and document patient medical and ocular history.
• Educate patients on contact lens care, insertion, and removal techniques.
• Manage frame and lens selection assistance, supporting optical dispensing as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment and ensure exam rooms are stocked.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and provide front-desk support.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and pre-testing procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical and retail environment
• Basic computer proficiency; experience with EHR or practice management software a plus
• COA, CPOT, or similar optometric certification is a bonus but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
