Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Optometric Technician to support pre-screenings and testing before the Doctor's examination in a fast-paced optical retail setting. This role does not require optical experience; training provided, with Sundays off and a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, 401k, and paid time off.

• Experience in retail/optical is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology and procedures.
• Able to give clear, concise instructions to customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality patient care and smooth patient flow.
• Maintain professional appearance of the office and pre-test area.
• Explain preliminary examination types to patients.
• Conduct pre-screening and testing prior to the Doctor's exam.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with care and consult when needed.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings to eligible patients.
