Job summary

Premier Eye Associates in Opelika is seeking aMedical Assistant: Optometric Technician to join our expanding private optometry practice. The role focuses on guiding patients through intake and pre-testing, educating about lenses and eye care, and supporting doctors with lens services and follow-up care.

You will join a friendly team with structured training, a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, and comprehensive benefits. Prior eye care experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warm, professional demeanor and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through intake, health history review, and diagnostic pre-testing
• Reinforce patient education related to contact lenses, medical eye care, and prevention
• Assist doctors with contact lens services, follow-up care, and treatment preparation
• Provide attentive, organized, and patient-centered service throughout each visit
