Pay:

$10.64-$14.10 per hour

The Role:

A Visionworks OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our Exam Practice, dedicated to ensuring the best patient experience. This role involves being trained and knowledgeable about eye health, preliminary testing, optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. The OD Tech guides patients through the initial steps of their vision care journey, ensuring their needs are met in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
  • Introduce patients to the OD and provide relevant patient information.
  • Assist in transitioning patients from the doctor to the sales floor, providing associates with necessary information to recommend products and services.
  • Support daily operational activities such as restocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience.
  • Support store operations including opening and closing the store as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
  • HS diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.
