Pay Class: Part Time

Pay: $10.64-$14.10 per hour

The Role:

The OD Tech/Optometric Assistant is the face of our exam practice, dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for every patient. This role involves knowledge of eye health, preliminary testing, optics, our products/services, and managed vision care. You will guide patients through the initial steps of their eye exam experience in a friendly and professional manner.

• Maintain accurate patient records before conducting preliminary tests.
• Introduce patients to the OD and relay important patient information.
• Assist in transitioning patients from the exam to the sales floor, providing necessary information to educate and recommend products and services.
• Support daily operations such as restocking, equipment cleaning, and answering phones to enhance patient experience.
• Support opening and closing the store as needed.

Qualifications:

• Customer or patient service experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; related job experience is also acceptable.
• Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Opticians License.
