Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced optics or opto-mechanical engineer to join their Optical Engineering team in Albuquerque, NM. The successful candidate will be responsible for fundamental system architecture decisions and detailed engineering work. Candidates should have a Master's degree and significant experience with optical systems, including high-power lasers and the design of lenses and mirrors. This position offers remote work with occasional travel and future relocation possibilities.

Job Description

An Insight Global Client is seeking an expert in optics or opto-mechanical engineering. The candidate will be a core member of the Optical Engineering team and help direct fundamental system architecture decisions as well as drive detailed engineering at the subsystem and component level. The candidate will interact with thermal, coatings and mechanical engineering teams to define and understand requirements and constraints at all points in the engineering life cycle. An engineer with strong hands-on laboratory skills is desired for this position.

Remote with travel as needed, ability to relocate in the future to Maui or NM
