Verrus, a developer of next generation data centers, is expanding its optimization team in California. You will develop software linking physical infrastructure with optimization models to enable real-time power and thermal decisions across our fleet.

The role requires at least 5 years in software engineering and experience with Python, Go, MILP, and distributed systems. Docker, Argo, and RPC know-how are valued. Verrus offers equity, health benefits, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Experience with Python for modeling/data analytics and Go for performance-critical components.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, optimization problems, and energy infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to design software systems interfacing with thousands of physical assets.
• Implement and scale optimization algorithms and data pipelines for real-time power and thermal decisions.
• Develop analytical tools to evaluate system performance and reliability.
• Design scalable architectures that enable energy market participation and asset management.
