NVIDIA Corporation seeks a Software Optimization Engineer to join the DRIVE Road Structure / Online Mapping / Context Fusion team. You will improve real-time performance by fusing perception, maps, and localization data to model the driving environment.

Work with algorithm and platform engineers to reduce CPU, memory, and latency needs on automotive hardware. You will develop benchmarks, run regression tests, and ensure reliability of the software stack used in autonomous driving systems.

Competenze

• PhD with 4+ years, MS with 6+ years, or BS with 8+ years in CS/CE or related field.
• Strong C++ expertise and performance-focused software design.
• Experience profiling CPU, memory, and end-to-end latency.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Experience with profiling tools and benchmarking.
• Strong cross-team communication and collaboration.

Mansioni

• Optimize context fusion software for perception, map, and localization data.
• Design and refine software architecture, interfaces, and data flows to meet CPU, memory, and latency requirements on automotive platforms.
• Profile complex software pipelines, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement improvements with reproducible measurements.
• Collaborate with algorithm teams to improve computational efficiency while preserving correctness and output quality.
• Develop benchmarks and performance regression tests to track improvements and prevent regressions.
• Partner with perception, mapping, localization, and platform engineers to resolve system-level performance issues.
