Job summary

Kimball Physics, Inc. in Wilton, NH, is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to join a small team focused on electron and ion optics, vacuum systems, and high-quality test methods. You will test, analyze, troubleshoot, and document results to ensure products meet customer requirements in a clean environment.

A BS in engineering or physics and at least 3 years of related experience are preferred. Candidates should be proficient with test equipment, able to interpret drawings, and communicate findings

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 3 years of related engineering, manufacturing, test, or technical work experience.
• Experience with electronic/electrical systems and test equipment preferred.
• Experience with electron and ion optics, vacuum systems, or related technologies.
• Experience supporting products through development, manufacturing, testing, and customer-facing applications.

Responsibilities

• Test, analyze, and troubleshoot internal products, test fixtures, and applicable systems.
• Perform analysis, diagnostics, and preliminary evaluations of products.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop testing methods and acceptance criteria.
• Repair and maintain test fixtures, lab equipment, and vacuum stations.
• Troubleshoot test fixtures, products, and procedures.
• Perform preliminary product evaluations and identify root causes of issues.
• Install test software and perform software programming.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to implement solutions to complex problems.
• Perform other duties and technical projects as assigned.
