ResourceMFG in Boulder, CO is seeking an experienced Optics Fabrication Technician for multiple shifts. Pay ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience, with good benefits and opportunities to boost your skills.

You will perform shaping, beveling, blocking, grinding, polishing, and precision measurements using Zygo and optical inspection tools, reading fabrication specs to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Experience performing shaping and polishing on optics components.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication specs.
• Familiarity with Zygo or optical measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic shaping process steps on medium difficult parts.
• Beveling – capable of fabricating polished, double, and off-angle asymmetric bevels.
• Blocking – pitch button, Norland transfer, steep singles, cold blocking, contacting, and alignment.
• Grinding – Steep radius, cylinder, tight wedge, continuous.
• Polishing – spindle, CP, double side, CNC polish.
• Slurry Maintenance - maintains and measures established Baume and PH levels.
• Pour pitch lap, cuts, and grooves lap.
• Advanced print reading skills – can read and comprehend all fabrication specs.
• Measurement skills include - Basic Zygo, understanding of fringe pattern, microscope, stereoscope, surface quality inspection, fiber light
