Job summary

KLA in San Diego, CA is seeking a Technician to join the Production team, assembling and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and optical assemblies. You will interface with Quality, Engineering and Production, driving continuous improvement and training.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent and 1+ year manufacturing experience, preferably optics. Strong communication, data collection, and the ability to read diagrams are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent certifications.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably optics/electro-optics.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, BOMs, schematics and drawings.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ESD practices and clean-room/hood duties.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and wear PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
• As the 1st line of production support, collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Production teams.
• Assist in process testing, data collection and documentation improvements.
• Train small groups of assemblers and technicians and contribute to continuous improvement.
