A leading company in imaging technologies is seeking an Optics Assembler to join their team in Warrendale, PA. You will be responsible for inspecting, assembling, and testing optical components, working in a cleanroom environment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with delicate materials, and experience in technical settings. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with 3-6 years in a manufacturing role, along with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Position Summary:
As the Optics Assembler you will join our Optics Department, inspecting, assembling, and testing optical components and imaging sensor assemblies. Working within a small team, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-quality, precision devices in a clean production environment.
The Optics Assembler will:
Ability to handle delicate parts and assist with the cleaning and packing of parts and material.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
Experience with metrology and inspection tools to test and inspect optical components for accuracy and quality.
Ability to follow direction and coaching from others with minimal supervision.
Characterize, measure, track and positively influence variables that are associated with assigned production processes.
Maintain updated documentation of process OMS that incorporate best practices, eliminate safety concerns while maintaining a cleanroom integrity.
Work with other team members in establishing WIP metrics, monitoring performance, and improving yields associated with assigned processes.
Assemble close tolerance parts that may have unusual shapes and may require specialized joining techniques such as gluing, potting, pressing, soldering, and spot welding.
May perform adjustments and calibrations requiring the use of hand tools, small power tools, precision measuring devices, and other specialized equipment including, but not limited to, arbor presses, vacuum test equipment, optical microscopes, electronic testing fixtures, and digital multi-meters.
Completes required paperwork according to established procedures.
Assembler level 3 assists with the training of less experienced personnel.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-6 years of previous experience in a manufacturing or technical environment required.
Ability to take direction from lead and supervisor to complete assigned tasks with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to colleagues and supervisors both verbally and in writing.
Ability to utilize interpersonal and communication techniques, work in a team environment, and deal with a wide variety of personalities and communication styles.

Will be required to handle and utilize various cleaning solvents on a routine basis.
Will be required to handle and utilize to various adhesives and sealants on a routine basis.
Will be required to handle and utilize liquid nitrogen on a periodic basis.
Will be required to operate heat producing devices such as a soldering iron and convection oven.
May be required to operate and / or test devices capable of producing high voltages.
May be exposed to x-ray producing equipment (Transmission Electron Microscopes) on a limited basis.
