Job summary

Marion Eye Centers in Cape Girardeau, MO is hiring an Optician to help patients select eyewear that fits prescription, lifestyle, and budget. You will measure PD and other optical metrics, educate on lens options, and ensure accurate orders while delivering a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include adjusting eyewear, maintaining displays, and assisting team members to provide exceptional eye care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service and sales aptitude.
• Previous optical experience is preferred but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and help them choose frames and lenses.
• Accurately measure PD, pupillary distance, and other optical measurements.
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frame materials.
• Process eyewear orders and verify prescription accuracy.
• Adjust, repair, and fit eyewear for comfort and proper alignment.
• Maintain attractive frame displays and inventory.
• Collaborate with providers to deliver outstanding patient care.
