EssilorLuxottica's Oakley Retail in Santa Clara, CA seeks an Optician to educate customers and elevate performance through exceptional service and lens expertise.

You will lead in optical operations, collaborate with store management on Rx expansion, and build community relationships while maintaining store standards and a welcoming environment for diverse customers. The role requires licensure, a fast-paced retail mindset, and a passion for delivering top-tier eyewear solutions.

Qualifications

• State Optician license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of optical theory and practices.
• 1+ years of retail sales experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to stand most of the day and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to move merchandise and operate store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Creates an exceptional customer experience with urgency.
• Demonstrates superior product knowledge and describes lenses and frames using appropriate tools.
• Leads optical operations and partners with Store Management on Rx expansion.
• Fosters an environment of learning so team members become experts in optical products and services.
• Engages with the local community to attract a new customer base.
• Identifies and resolves customer issues, ensuring satisfaction.
• Uses technology to troubleshoot issues while handling high volume.
• Supports daily retail operations and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Maintains store appearance and visual objectives, and assists with floor/fixture changes.
• Performs additional duties as needed and promotes inclusive culture.
