Job summary

Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an Optician to drive sales and provide exceptional guest service. You will fill prescriptions, fit and adjust glasses, and dispense contact lenses while ensuring quality and accuracy.

The role requires high attention to detail, ABO certification, and a minimum of 2 years in retail optical. A strong customer-focused approach and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• ABO Certification.
• 2+ years in Retail Optical.
• Basic computer skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Ability to grow sales through sales skills.
• Enthusiastic and concise communications.
• Attention to detail.
• Associates Degree (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drives profitable store sales by fostering a retail selling culture and practicing effective sales skills.
• Develops professional business relationships with Team Members.
• Fills ophthalmic eyeglass prescriptions and fits lenses and frames per prescription.
• Ensures high quality and timely product fabrication.
• Verifies visual acuity and analyzes prescriptions and lens design.
• Measures pupillary distances and placement for bifocal/trifocal/progressive lenses.
• Selects/ measures frames for facial contour and eye size, then fits eyewear.
• Dispenses contact lenses and maintains product quality.
