Dr. Tavel is hiring an Optician in Indianapolis to guide patients in choosing eyewear that suits their face and lifestyle. You will learn lens options, eyewear care, and the full process from selection to fitting and ordering.

Qualifications

• No optical experience required; we will train you and provide a clear path to become an Optician.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare retail setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in patient interactions and eyewear recommendations.
• Availability to work during office hours, including some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their face, lifestyle, and vision needs.
• Educate patients on lens options and eyewear care to maximize their satisfaction.
• Manage front-desk tasks like insurance verification, scheduling, and benefit authorizations with accuracy.
• Place and process eyewear orders precisely and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments for a comfortable fit and lasting satisfaction.
• Build lasting relationships with patients to encourage return visits.
• Participate in training and certifications for growth and wage increases.
• Ability to travel to support other locations if needed.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Guide patients in selecting eyewear that fits their face, lifestyle, and vision needs—while helping them feel confident and cared for.
• Educate patients on lens options, eyewear care, and how to get the most out of their glasses.
• Manage front-desk tasks like insurance verification, scheduling, and benefit authorizations with accuracy and confidence.
• Place and process eyewear orders with precision—and troubleshoot when challenges arise.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to ensure a comfortable, proper fit for every pair.
• Build lasting relationships with patients that keep them coming back.
• Stay on top of your development, completing training, certifications, and growth milestones.
• Ability to travel to support other locations only if needed.
