Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Washington state seeks an experienced optician to interpret Rx, fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, and manage eyewear orders. The role requires a WA license or ABO/NCLE certification and 1+ year of opticianry experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or a state approved three-year apprenticeship required.
• Washington State license and/or ABO Certification and NCLE certification required.
• 1+ year of opticianry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fit and dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Fabricate lenses including edging and coating.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify lens positioning in frames.
• Assist patients with frame selection for fit and style.
