Job Summary:

Assist in the operation of UAB Callahan Eyewear by professionally dispensing eyeglasses and frames, managing inventory, and supporting other retail optical processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers of UAB Callahan Eyewear.
2. Assess their optical needs accurately.
3. Assist customers in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
4. Price merchandise appropriately and ensure proper payment collection.
5. Maintain a friendly customer service attitude at all times, and work extended hours if necessary to ensure operational hours.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Retail optical experience preferred, including basic optical knowledge.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Prefer certification by the American Board of Opticianry.
• Excellent organizational skills and experience with computer data entry.
• Positive, polished customer service attitude.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to maximize service and efficiency.
• Strong teamwork skills.
