Job summary

EYE PEOPLE OPTOMETRY in Montebello, CA, is seeking a full-time Optician for a high-volume private practice. The position requires availability on weekends and inclusion of closing shifts; duties include dispensing glasses, measuring pupillary distance and seg height, and assisting patients with lens choices and frame styling.

Experience as an Optician and knowledge of current optical theory, frames, coatings, and lens types are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check out patients and pull insurance authorizations.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments; pre-test patients.

Optician job at EYE PEOPLE OPTOMETRY. Montebello, CA. A full-time Optician is needed for our upscale, high-volume private optometry practice, EYE PEOPLE Optometry. We carry designer brands such as CHANEL, Gucci, Tom Ford, YSL, Burberry, Versace, Tiffany, etc.

• Full availability is required including WEEKENDS
• Available for Closing Shifts are required: 12:30pm-9pm
• Available Shifts: 10am-6:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 11am-7:30pm, 12:30pm-9pm, etc.

We are the first office in LA to offer new AI-powered VR Progressives and were recently featured on the show, "Destination LA" airing on CBS. Excellent customer service or retail experience is preferred with prior history of Optician experience. Duties include recommending various lens styles (progressives, bifocals, anti-fatigue lenses, etc.) and add-ons (anti-reflective coating, transitions, etc.), measuring seg heights and pupillary distances, dispensing glasses, frame styling, checking out patients and pulling insurance authorizations, answering phones, scheduling appointments, pre-testing patients, etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
