Salary Range: $16.50 To $19.50 Hourly

General Summary

The primary function of this role is toassist patients with finding frames, adjustments, troubleshooting, and dispensing eyewearwhile providing the highest levels of quality andcare.

Essential Functions

• Attract and retain customers by delivering exceptional customer service, fostering customer retention, and promoting outstanding patient satisfaction
• Greet and assist customers in the selection of frames
• Assist patients with adjustments, troubleshooting, and dispensing eyewear
• Ensure correct pricing and realistic delivery time quotes to patients; contact patients to dispense glasses
• Ability to provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet and exceed patient expectations, as well as foster positive relationships with team members
• Clean and merchandise displays daily; always display effective merchandise
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders
• Document all patient communication in the patient record within the practice software system
• Work on special projects, cross-train in different departments, and perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

• One to two years of experience in related field
• Working knowledge of MS Office package
• Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiries
• Effective written communication skills to clearly document customer situations, as well as prepare letters to confirm agreements made
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills
• Ability to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify customer needs
• Proven problem‑solving, negotiating, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to use appropriate discretion and judgment in applying customer/call handling guidelines
• Ability to listen, process transactions, and interact with customers simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home ( WFH ) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFH ), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
