Job summary

Eye Care Associates of Michiana in South Bend, Indiana, is seeking an Optician and frame stylist who is highly motivated to create energy around our products by providing the right style solutions for patients' lifestyles. If you have a passion for helping people, an outgoing personality, and a desire to learn, this is a wonderful opportunity for you.

Experienced opticians and frame stylists are encouraged to apply, but we are also willing to train someone!

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with Customer Service or Sales is preferred.
• BONUS: Optical experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills required.
• Positive attitude and team-player mindset.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on corrective lens options and help them choose based on medical needs and lifestyle.
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames.
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients' needs.
• Review physician prescriptions and orders based on medical charts.
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients.
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure product variety and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with physicians with questions or concerns about prescriptions and eye-related issues.

What You'll Do

• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues

Schedule

• Competitive hourly wage - $17-22/hour
