Eye Care Associates of Michiana is seeking an Optician and frame stylist to support two Indiana locations, South Bend and New Carlisle. You’ll help patients choose lenses and frames that fit their lifestyle and medical needs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in customer service or sales, strong communication, and a positive, team-oriented attitude; we’re also open to training motivated newcomers. You’ll train with experienced staff and enjoy a supportive environment, competitive hourly wages, and

Responsibilities

• Educate patients on lens options and lifestyle needs.
• Provide honest feedback about frames and aesthetics.

• Operate lensometer and other tools for proper fittings.
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses for variety and availability.
• Communicate with physicians about prescriptions and eye-related issues.

We are looking for someone to go between our two locations - see addresses below!

• South Bend location: 17477 Generations Dr, South Bend, IN 46635
• New Carlisle location: 8988 Lincoln Hwy US-20, New Carlisle, IN 46552

Eye Care Associates of Michiana is looking for an Optician and frame stylist who is highly motivated and will help to create the energy and excitement around our products and services by providing the right style solutions for our patients’ lifestyles. We are looking for someone If you have a passion for helping people, an outgoing personality, and a desire to learn, this is a wonderful opportunity for you. Experienced opticians and frame stylists are encouraged to apply, but we are also willing to train someone!

What You’ll Do

• Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences
• Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames
• Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by office staff while attending to patients’ specific needs and desires
• Review Physician’s prescriptions and orders based on medical charts
• Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients
• Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety
• Communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye‑related issues

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years experience with Customer Service or Sales is preferred - BONUS is Optical Experience!

Schedule

• Monday - Friday hours, weekend hours occasionally - if working a Saturday, 1 day off in the week!

Pay & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage - $17-22/hour
