Job summary

Alderwood Vision Source in Lynnwood, WA is seeking a full-time Optician to join our friendly eye care team. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear, educate on lenses and technology, and help ensure accurate orders and insurance communication.

We value patient-centered service, attention to detail, and a positive, team-first attitude in a fast-paced medical office. Two evenings per week are required; we offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Optician experience preferred, but training may be available.
• Strong knowledge of lenses, frames, and measurements.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Positive, team-first attitude in a busy medical office.

Responsibilities

• Help patients select eyewear that fits vision needs, lifestyle, and style.
• Educate patients on lenses, frames, and eyewear technology.
• Perform eyewear sales in a patient-focused, professional way.
• Explain and communicate insurance benefits clearly to patients.
• Submit and communicate eyewear orders to labs.
• Work closely with doctors and team members to support patient care.
• Stay informed on new eyewear products, lens options, and optical technology.
• Thrive in a busy boutique optical setting with a strong focus on healthcare.
• Complete other duties and projects as assigned by management.

SCHEDULE:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule
• Two evenings per week required
