About the Practice

See Well Eyecare is a new private practice in the Hyde Park, Cincinnati area and is looking to hire an experienced Optician! Our practice is focused on creating a culture where patients and team members feel they are part of a family. Our optician will be responsible for the selling, fitting, and dispensing of glasses, and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients. We are looking for a candidate that has experience in the field, exceptional communication skills, is flexible as the office grows, has the ability to multitask, and most of all the passion to be instrumental in helping lay the foundation for our growing company.

About You

You are the type of person who loves interacting with people. When it comes to your job, you are customer service oriented, and the customer experience drives you! You enjoy an environment where you work with a team to enhance the experience of every customer that comes through the door. You have a passion for sales, and thrive when making recommendations that help people make great purchasing decisions. You understand the importance of relationships, whether it be with your patients and staff, or the frame reps with whom you interact.

Responsibilities

• Ability to sell premium quality glasses and contact lenses while educating patients
• Skilled in fitting, adjusting, and dispensing glasses
• Passion to quickly become familiar with our optical inventory and products to provide the most appropriate selections for the patient
• Participate in the stocking and processing of inventory items into EHR system
• Ownership of ordering and checking in with the lab for orders
• Assist in frame selection while working with a variety of frame reps
• Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans
• Assist with answering phones to schedule patients and to answer general questions
• Willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations
• Must have the desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in the optical field
• State optical license is highly preferred
• Familiarity working with many vision and medical plans
• Great interpersonal and customer service skills
• Availability to work full time, including Saturdays
• Passion to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice

Additional Items

• Experience with Revolution EHR software is preferred
• Evening and Saturday availability is a necessity
• Compensation includes an hourly wage and bonus program
• Retirement eligibility and discretionary stipend available after reaching a certain tenure
• We are looking for applicants who desire long term employment only
• Must provide references
