Job summary

IOS Optics in Loomis, CA, is seeking an optical fabrication technician to perform blocking, grinding, de-blocking, edging, core drilling and polishing to produce quality precision optics. Work from prints and instructions with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of hands-on experience in precision optical fabrication, with proficiency in measuring tools and reading drawings, plus strong math, dexterity, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on experience in precision optical fabrication (blocking, grinding, edging, core drilling and/or polishing).
