Qualifications

• 5+ years of optical engineering experience and delivering products to market.
• Foundational experience with optical systems, photonics, or optoelectronic devices.
• Hands-on lab experience with optical alignment and data collection.
• Understanding of imaging, diffraction, polarization, and radiometry.
• Familiarity with optical design tools like Zemax/Code V and MATLAB/Python.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of optical systems, including lenses, illumination, detectors, lasers, and optomechanical components.
• Perform hands-on laboratory work, including optical alignment, characterization, and troubleshooting of prototype systems.
• Assist with system modeling and performance analysis using optical simulation and data analysis tools.
• Execute engineering experiments, including data collection, analysis, and documentation of results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration, debugging, and product development.
• Contribute to verification, validation, and qualification activities for optical system performance.
