Job summary

SubCom in Newington, NH is seeking a System Build and Assembly Test Engineer to support the System Build and fiber optics cable Testing department. You will define and control test processes, document procedures, train technicians, and coordinate test activities across engineering and R&D.

The role emphasizes improving test throughput and yield, establishing SPC controls, maintaining test fixtures, and ensuring ES&H compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing test set operation required.
• Working knowledge of electronic controls and line drives desired.
• Experience in optical testing methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and control test processes and equipment.
• Document test procedures; train technicians and operators.
• Maintain test hardware, fixturing, collect data and troubleshoot failures.
• Coordinate troubleshooting design experiments with product engineers and R&D designers.
• Establish SPC controls and support data analysis.
• Improve product test throughput and yield to meet program objectives.
• Support System and Block testing data compilation and analysis.
• Assist ES&H procedures and investigations; implement corrective actions.
