Job summary

ASML’s Optical Sensor Group in Wilton, CT is seeking a Physicist/Optical Engineer for a Co-op position (6 to 9 months) to support and develop complex optical / photonic sensor systems used within ASML’s lithography tools. These systems typically include light sources, detectors, optical / electro-optical components, fiber optics, electronics and signal processing software functioning in close collaboration with the rest of the lithography system.

This position is on-site in Wilton, CT.

Qualifications

• Master student in Physics, Optics, or related engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with light sources, lasers
• Data Analysis
• Python or Matlab

Responsibilities

• General: debug functionality or performance issues in optical alignment sensors using Physics, Optics, and Software.
• Leadership: lead activities to determine root cause, execute tests, gather data, and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Problem Solving: troubleshoot complex technical problems, develop/debug data processing algorithms, and run test plans to find root causes.
• Communications/Teamwork: communicate findings clearly across technical and managerial levels.
