ASML's Optical Sensor Group in Wilton CT is seeking a Physicist/Optical Engineer for a Co-op position (6 to 9 months) to support and develop complex optical/photonic sensor systems used within ASML's lithography tools. These systems include light sources, detectors, fiber optics, electronics and signal processing software.

Qualifications

Candidate must be a Master student in Physics, Optics, or related engineering.
Familiarity with light sources and lasers.
Data analysis skills.
Python or MATLAB proficiency.

Responsibilities

General: debug functionality or performance issues in optical alignment sensors using physics and optics knowledge.
Leadership: lead activities to determine root causes, execute tests, and communicate results to stakeholders.
Problem Solving: troubleshoot complex problems, develop/test data analysis algorithms, create test plans.
Communications/Teamwork: communicate clearly during brainstorming and troubleshooting sessions.
Programming: implement data analysis techniques in MATLAB; experience with GUI building; familiarity with LabVIEW and Python a plus.
