Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Optical Sales Associate at NYU Langone Huntington Medical Group - Per Diem.

This role seeks an individual with retail optical experience who has a passion for sales, fashion, and healthcare.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Engage and create a personalized experience with each client to promote optical services.
2. Knowledge of various vision plans is a plus.
3. Ensure cases and displays are properly maintained and stocked.
4. Execute product promotions effectively to increase sales and brand awareness for NYU Langone Health Optical.
5. Stay updated on optical trends and services.
6. Take lens measurements and adjust frames for fitting.
7. Assist and educate clients on frame types, lenses, and other optical products.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or higher.
• Licensed Optician.
• At least 3 years of optical sales experience.
• 3 years of vendor and inventory management experience.
• Ability to develop, track, and achieve sales goals.
• Knowledge of current and emerging optical markets.
• Knowledge of contact lens fitting.
• Knowledge of eyeglass lens finishings.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized with attention to detail.

Qualified candidates must communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
