Job summary

Eyemart Express is seeking an Optical Retail Sales Associate (Full Time) in Lafayette, LA. You will guide patients in selecting frames, ensure correct measurements, and support laboratory processes to produce accurate eyewear.

A strong focus on customer service and product knowledge is essential. Responsibilities include handling transactions at the POS, educating patients on eyeglass care, and staying current with promotions and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Optical industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by guiding patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Capture accurate measurements and prescription details for lab technicians.
• Process payments and refunds using the Point of Sale system.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care and insurance claims.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and organize merchandise.
• Take measurements, prepare work orders, and inspect final products for accuracy.
• Adjust and repair frames as needed.

As a Retail Associate, you'll guide patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings tailored to their needs. You'll ensure accurate measurements and prescription information for our lab technicians, oversee the production process, and provide personalized care when dispensing glasses to patients.
