Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a Product Manager for Optical drives to own the product strategy, roadmap, and portfolio performance within the Global Semiconductors business. You will align customer needs, market trends, and technology capabilities to drive growth and differentiation across global markets.

The role partners with Sales, Applications Engineering, Engineering, Operations, and Business Line leadership to set priorities and support commercialization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product management, applications engineering, technical sales, engineering, or business development for complex technical products.
• Strong understanding of optical products, optical systems, semiconductor applications, or adjacent precision technology markets.
• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and market trends into product priorities and commercial actions.
• Ability to influence across Sales, Applications Engineering, Engineering, Operations, and Business Line stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, communication, product positioning, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy, roadmap inputs, positioning, and lifecycle priorities for assigned optical products and applications.
• Translate customer requirements, technology trends, competitor activity, and application needs into clear product priorities.
• Define target applications, value propositions, differentiation, and investment recommendations for optical solutions.
• Partner with Business Line and Engineering teams to align product direction with capability, capacity, quality, and business objectives.
• Support Sales and Key Account teams with optical product positioning, application fit, customer presentations, and opportunity strategy.
• Help qualify and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, customer value, technical feasibility, and resource requirements.
• Partner with Applications Engineering to convert customer needs into clear requirements and practical solution approaches.
• Provide product guidance for RFQs, proposals, pricing inputs, customer programs, and commercialization plans.
• Monitor optical market trends, semiconductor customer roadmaps, application requirements, and competitive activity.
• Track product adoption, funnel contribution, win/loss feedback, portfolio health, and customer satisfaction indicators.
• Develop internal product updates, launch materials, and training content to support consistent global execution.
