Job summary

Meta is seeking an Optical Network Deployment & Support Engineer to plan and execute large-scale optical backbone deployments. You will own deployment planning, implementation, and scaling of Meta's AI network infrastructure across edge, backbone, and data centers.

The role requires a strong background in network engineering, optical networking, and automation, with leadership experience and collaboration across multiple teams. Expect travel and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Network Engineering, including deployment, planning, or migrating production networks.
• 3+ years in Optical Network Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise and carrier-class routing, switching, and optical transport.
• Experience leading and coordinating network deployment projects with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment, architecture and execution for Edge Network Services projects.
• Contribute hands-on design, deployment, migration, reviews and troubleshooting.
• Execute multi-year roadmaps to support business growth and transformation.
• Apply reliability, scalability and performance standards to deliverables.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Data Center, Network Investments, and Planning teams.
• Deploy, migrate and support global production network across edge, backbone, and data centers.
• Mentor and onboard new team members and build internal community.
• Travel 10% to 30%.
