Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a senior optical engineer to own the development of optical metrology stations for inter-satellite link systems. You will lead a multi-discipline team across hardware, reliability, firmware, and manufacturing to ensure robust test strategies and data-driven decisions.

Own measurement processes for volume manufacturing, drive industry-leading metrology approaches, and enable smooth transfer of methods to production teams in a high-scale space

Qualifications

• 8+ years in optical systems development across full product lifecycles.
• 3 years of direct management experience leading technical teams.
• Experience with lasers, detectors, optical fibers and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and qualification of optical metrology stations for ISL systems.
• Define and maintain optical test requirements across engineering and production teams.
• Oversee optical module design validation testing and reporting for program reviews.
