Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense in Bozeman, MT is seeking an Optical Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble and align laser subassemblies powering mission-critical technologies. You will work with precision optics, test equipment, and contribute to documentation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in manufacturing or laser module assembly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in electronics, aerospace, or high-tech industries preferred.
• Solid-state diode-pumped lasers experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely with lasers and high-voltage equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic network navigation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• U.S. citizenship, national status, or eligibility for export control license may be required.

• Occasionally work in a Class 1000 Cleanroom environment.
• Contribute to a high-quality, safety-focused production culture.
