Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an electromechanical tester/engineer in Milpitas, CA. The role focuses on system-level build, calibration, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies with optical components.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent vocational training required.
• Minimum 2–4 years of related experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and software skills.
• Optical skills related to concave/convex mirrors.
• Test fixture knowledge and functional testing abilities.
• No PCB-specific experience required; focus on opto assembly at system level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tool schedules and milestones for alignment processes and tests.
• Support tool progression priorities; test and troubleshoot assemblies and final systems.
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions.
• Maintain test tooling and calibration workflows including 3rd party calibration.
• Perform build, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at system level.
• Develop test specifications and procedures from blueprints and diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot assemblies or final systems; perform rework if needed.
• Prepare reports and assist in selection/setup of specialized test equipment.
• Read drawings and mathematics to support testing; lift up to 50 lb.

Job Description:

• Looking for Electromechanically system level build and troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain tool schedules, complete alignment processes (milestones) per defined test times - work assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems.

• Support tool progression priorities -tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.

• As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.

• Maintain test tooling, sending/receiving tooling to complete daily work activities (3rd party calibration).

• Performs the build, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at a system level.

• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.

• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems because of testing.

• Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

• Requires experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.

• Ability to read complicated drawings, mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of testing and measuring instruments.

• Lift 50 lb requirement

Experience:

• Typically requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience.

• Looking for a person with strong mechanical, electrical and software sills.

• Optical skills + in relation to understanding concave / convex mirrors.

• Test fixture to do a functional test, it cycles, it’s friction free, ability to troubleshoot assemblies a must.

• NOT looking for PCB experience/ board TS. More opto assembly BIG system level.
