Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the OISL Reliability team for the LEO satellite program. You will develop reliability strategies across opto-mechanical, electrical, and electro-optical hardware, driving Design for Reliability and cross-functional collaboration to ensure qualification and lifetime performance in space-like environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, material or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Experience with reliability engineering principles and methodologies including HALT, ALT and HASS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain reliability models for electrical, mechanical, and optical components and assemblies.
  • Conduct FMEA, FTA, and RCA for hardware systems and subsystems.
  • Define and execute reliability demonstration testing (RDT) and accelerated life testing (ALT/HALT).
  • Apply Weibull analysis and other statistical tools to predict product lifetime.
  • Establish reliability requirements and verification plans for new product development.
  • Collaborate with design and system teams to implement Design for Reliability (DfR).
  • Investigate field/test failures to identify failure modes and root causes; drive corrective actions.
  • Develop reliability documentation including test plans, reports, and specifications.
