Monarch Quantum seeks an Optical Engineer 2 to build foundational optical systems in a fast-paced startup. You will collaborate with leadership and take ownership of design, analysis, and validation while maturing engineering practices and processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on optical modeling, laser beam propagation, and fiber optics. Expect a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, ideally in startup/tech company.
• Strong knowledge of optical modeling techniques including ray tracing, wave propagation, and EM solvers.

Responsabilidades

• Work independently and in a team while overcommunicating with the manager, project engineer, and teammates; mentor junior engineers.
• Execute complex engineering tasks involving planning, data collection, analysis, and peer-review documentation of results.
• Ensure accuracy of execution schedule, data quality, conformance to best practices, and clear communication/documentation.
• Grow competency through mentorship, curiosity, communication, exposure, and initiative.
