Job summary

Brimrose Corporation of America is seeking an Optical Engineer to support diverse product development projects. You will design optical systems, revise existing designs, and perform simulations, performance analysis and optimization.

The role includes opto-mechanical design, component/vendor selection, and hands-on experimentation. The ideal candidate has a BS in Optical Sciences or Physics with at least one year of related experience, along with strong hands-on setup, alignment, and a solid

Qualifications

• BS in Optical Sciences, Physics, or related field with 1+ years of experience.
• Experience designing and evaluating imaging and non-imaging optics.
• Hands-on optical setup alignment and assembly.
• Knowledge of optical coating, scattering, laser, polarization, spectroscopy.
• Proficient with optical design and simulation software.
• Knowledge of fabrication and assembly methods for optics and opto-mechanical components.

Optical Engineer

We have an opening for an Optical Engineer who will be responsible for supporting various product development projects. The successful applicant will perform optical system design, revision of existing optical system, and subsequent simulation, performance analysis and optimization, opto-mechanical design, component/vendor selection, etc.

Requirements:

BS in Optical Sciences, Physics, or other engineering discipline with in optical techniques, with a minimum of 1 years’ work experience in similar field.

Expertise in designing, prototyping and evaluating of both imaging and non-imaging optical systems.

Hands-on experience with optical system setup/alignment and assembling

Knowledge of optical coating, scattering, laser, polarization, spectroscopy

Proficient with optical design and simulation software

Knowledge of fabrication and assembly methods for optics and opto-mechanical components

Preferred:

MS/PhD with proficiency in scientific and technical writing skills
