Job summary

BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists is seeking an Optical Department Manager to lead the optical operations in Green Bay, WI. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and efficient clinic processes through supervision of staff and collaboration with physicians.

The position requires 3–5 years in an optical office, an associated healthcare or leadership degree, and strong MS Office skills. Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no holidays or weekend work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of operational experience in an optical office preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills are preferred.
• MS Office knowledge is necessary.
• Associated degree in healthcare or leadership field is desired; experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of optical departments at all clinic sites as working supervisor.
• Direct and supervise daily staff activities to meet clinical and business needs.
• Maintain product inventory and ensure accurate financial reporting with Corporate Finance.
• Update CMS fees in system software and identify operational improvements.
• Lead staff meetings and provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Assist physicians with specialty contact lens fittings and scheduling.
