Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Coating Technician in Oldsmar, FL to prepare, operate, and maintain optical coating equipment in a cleanroom. You will follow SOPs, perform inspections, and support process optimization while collaborating with engineering and production teams.

The role requires experience in manufacturing, proficiency with measurement tools, and the ability to read blueprints. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position with a 10-hour shift and a 6 am start.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience, ideally in machine operation or general production.
• Proficiency with computers to operate equipment and record data.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Experience with inspection and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up coating chambers and complete checklists for standard operation.
• Independently operate coating production equipment following SOPs and routings.
• Communicate changes to setup or programming to engineering/supervisor for documentation.
• Assist engineers with optimization and development of new coating processes.
• Perform preventative maintenance on coating equipment and fixtures.
• Load/unload coating fixtures and ensure safe production.
