Job summary

Butler America Aerospace in Richardson, TX seeks an Optical Coating Technician for the 3rd shift to support deposition processes onsite. Training starts on 1st shift with a 9/80 schedule (off every other Friday). You will maintain chambers, run data records, and assist process engineering to resolve issues.

The role requires safety focus, basic computer skills, and ability to lift up to 26 lbs. U.S. citizenship is required and 2+ years of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent (G.E.D. or vocational/technical education) with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Setup/operate production process equipment and/or test equipment.
• Familiar with documents, prints, safety rules, work instructions and SOPs.
• Proficient with computer use and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Able to use hand tools and verify torque values.

Responsibilities

• Operate thin film deposition processes and maintain related equipment.
• Coordinate workflow with team members and communicate across functions.
• Record run data, monitor parameters, and report production issues with minimal supervision.
