Job summary

G&H, a world leader in optical design and manufacturing, is seeking an assembler to join our team in the USA. You will assemble, align, test and configure small form factor optical, electronic and mechanical components, following released procedures and drawings in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities include assembling systems to tolerances, recording traceability data, inspecting components, and helping optimize processes.

Qualifications

3-5 years working as an assembler in a manufacturing business required.
Team-oriented environment with effective communication and timely feedback.
Self-starter with willingness and discipline to continually learn.
Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with various measuring instruments is a plus.
3-5 years working with optical assemblies is a plus.
Laser Machine experience is a plus.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assemble optical systems to yield the required assembly tolerances.
Record necessary information for traceability of assembly procedures.
Record touch time on work orders.
Inspect optical and mechanical components for conformance to purchased prints.
Assist in optimizing optical components and mechanics to achieve desired results.
Assist with improving the assembly process and identifying design improvements for next generation products.
Assist with troubleshooting, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Assist with laser marking, cutting, and welding as needed.
